Let’s start at the top with the highlight of all highlights:

We celebrated 52 baptisms this year!

New Member Stats & Member Meeting Highlights

10 families and singles joined our church community as New Members in June during a Family Sunday.

200+ people came to the Member BBQ in June where vision was cast for Fall 2023 and members were able to celebrate together and provide feedback to the staff about what they were excited about and how they would like to participate in the life of the church.

Houses

10 House Gatherings meet in the fall to host over 300 people to share a meal, engage in fellowship and prayer. Houses continue to be a simple way to build deeper relationships and enjoy our community.

Packs

Packs were relaunched with the addition of Pack Advocates, a group of men and women who helped provide leadership support to Pack Leaders.

Over 60 interested men and women attended summer pack leader trainings and many went on to successfully lead Packs. 37 Fall Packs met and were served by 9 Pack Advocates.

Fall Packs centered on going deep in the book of 1 John aligned to our Sunday morning teachings.

PACK TESTIMONY

My experience with Radiant Packs has been something that I have, in my Christian walk, never experienced. I am fairly new to Radiant and hadn’t really gotten to know people yet. Nervous at first and a little reluctant, I signed up for a pack at 6am in the morning, yep 6am in the morning. On those early Tuesdays I found a raw, authentic, hunger for the Lord and His Word. When you experience the Gospel like that, with input and wisdom from other men, it’s life changing. The men in my group genuinely cared about how my walk was going, how my family was and if there was anything they could pray for.

My family and I are excited to be a part of the Radiant family. I am so grateful for my Pack and look forward to the next round.

Volunteer Stats

144 Adult & Jr Volunteers checked in on a Sunday morning to serve with Kids in the last 6 months alone!

The church has been blessed by the 254 adult volunteers who have showed up to serve in the areas of Radiant Kids, Media, Decor, Security, Student Ministries during the mid-week, Worship Teams, & Hospitality at some point in 2023!

17 families were loved on by Team Casserole this year.

Church Body

712 new profiles were created in our Church Center app by folks who had their first touch point with Radiant.

There are 622 active adults in our church body who have attended a pack, class, or house gathering; served in some capacity, gave financially, or have attended a men’s or women’s event this year.

There are 523 active kids in our church body. This means they have attended Sunday school, Jr High or High School, or possibly the Daddy Daugher Dance!

New LeaderShift class of 23-24’

We are celebrating as God continues to provide us with amazing leaders who desire to be equipped to serve and love our church and community. LeaderShift launched for the second year in the Fall to invest in and raise up a new group of leaders. The class met once a month to focus on developing a biblical framework for servant leadership and exploring spiritual formation principles. We were excited to see a diverse class organized that included leader couples and singles from three church communities including Radiant Visalia, Radiant Tulare and Exeter Valley!

Jesus Revolution

413 of us headed out to Regal Theaters one evening for our own free viewing of the hit movie Jesus Revolution!

Men’s BBQ

Men gathered around the grill one summer evening for worship and connection.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Dad’s dressed up and took their daughters out for a special evening of dinner, dancing and time to bond.

Believersize Women’s Event

A ladies 80’s night of fun, food and dancing!

Magnify Women’s Night

My soul magnifies the Lord! An evening where women gathered in worship and word as they looked at the life of Mary and how she responded to the news she received.

Who-Bilation

Just over 300 bundled up and came out to the Woodland Gardens for a festive evening of cookies, hot cocoa, carols, and a showing of The Grinch.

Greater-Church Community //

Greater-Church Community

Oak Academy

Running in its 3rd year, 81 preschool through 8th-grade students meet on Mondays and Wednesdays on our church campus. With various subjects offered, many of the grade levels have wait lists. Oak Academy is a private home-school community meeting on our campus, which brings many Radiant and non-Radiant families together throughout the week.

Heritage Ministry

Heritage Ministry : We are caring for 13 fostering or adopting families at Radiant Visalia and Tulare and we got to host the Transitioning Youth Christmas Event with Aspirinet Foster Agency, where 40 volunteers served 25 youth.

Care Portal Stats: Meeting the needs of kids and families in crisis; we have 139 responders and in the last 12 months we met:

9 requests
serving 30 children
with an economic impact of $15,300

Village of Hope (Easter Vacation Trip)

Radiant’s 5th Annual Easter Village of Hope mission trip was April 2-7, 2023. We took a team of 122 who impacted the community by leading a VBS for 170 children, a women’s ministry with 54, and a sowing ministry with 14 locals.

We built two Homes of Hope and painted a mural in the sewing room to dedicate the sewing building to Wendy Van Beek.

Throughout the week we had a prayer team go house to house praying for people, and we grew in our faith through daily devotionals, SHAPE groups and worship.

The Radiant Podcast

We posted 56 episodes, totaling 2,281 minutes, that were listened to a total of 18,067 times, in 35 different countries!

15 adults committed to teaching every week for the school year in our K-6 grade

In October, we started live Kids Worship in the Hub

Volunteer Highlight:

Grace Ocana has attended Radiant for just over a year and serves multiple times a month with our Radiant toddlers. She shared, “ I love serving kids because I feel privileged to get to walk alongside families by serving with their children. I am excited to watch kids grow to know, love and serve the Lord. I love making connections with kids and their parents and getting to grow, learn, and teach surrounded by people searching for God’s will in their lives.” Thank you for serving our family Grace!

Jr. High //

Jr. High

2023 began up at Hartland Camp for our own “Winter Advance” Jr High/High School weekend retreat.

29 – 8th graders promoted on to High School in June and we began melding our new 7th/8th grade crew with our annual pool hop.

Summer was spent serving together at Gleanings for the Hungry, in backyard pools, tubing at Lake Success, and building into our relationships

Fall was spent in the Alpha Youth series; a video/conversation curriculum that challenged us to think about the foundations of the Christian faith which included a weekend retreat focused on the Holy Spirit.

On average 40 Jr Highers showed up on most Wednesday nights with a dedicated group of 8 adult leaders and 4 GAP interns.

High School //

High School

The year started off with a bang! Our Winter Advance saw wonderful fruit as kids were activated in the gifts of the Spirit and contemplated their calling and Identity in God. 60 high schoolers and 40 Jr. Highers were able to attend.

Our New Day youth camp saw 150 high schoolers attend, and God moved mightily. Students heard God for the first time and moved in the prophetic in ways they thought weren’t possible. It was one of our most significant moments in the 2023 year.

This fall, 70 to 80 students showed up on a typical Wednesday night.

We also had 40 to 50 students participate in “Pack Nights”. For 8 weeks, students met in gender-specific small group to discuss God’s word. 3 families opened their homes to facilitate the pack nights.

Kingdom Come

“Kingdom Come” was so very special. Thank you for making it happen on school campuses. I love that it was outside and for many to hear. I love that my athletic director came by to help with lights and ended up staying the whole night. I love the way you highlighted Campus Life and prayed for Jesse.

We have a group chat of several believers on the MWHS campus, and last night some of those people went, including my principal. They were sharing encouraging messages and videos of Kingdom Come last night after the event. Mt. Whitney has had a rough start to the school year, so this was a much-needed breath of fresh air and a reminder of the mission field we step on every day.

I felt so proud and grateful to be a part of Radiant Church and be a part of THE church.

Regional Events

Celebration CA

Our maiden voyage to Hume Lake Christian Camps for Celebration CA ‘23 reached far beyond anything we could have envisioned. 530 attendees gathered from 4 churches spread across California with guest speakers from out of state and out of the country. Worship was alive, teachings were devoured, and opportunities to sharpen and encourage one another were plentiful.

We look forward to Celebration California ‘24 with eager anticipation. We also want everyone to be able to attend without finances stopping them from doing so. We believe God is rich in abundance and encourages us to give all that we are back to Him. Have you blocked off May 25-27, 2024 for this invitation to gather and would you consider sowing financially into the vision for all people to come?

Word & Spirit Weekend

In November, we hosted our Confluence California churches for a Word Spirit Weekend. 246 people were in attendance as Bryan Mowrey came out from St. Louis, MO, to share with us about living generously, followed by 8 breakout sessions Saturday morning focused on walking with the Spirit in different areas of our lives.
